Metamorphose

Constant Nightmares

Constant Fear

Night after Night

Monsters under my bed

Creeping under my pillow

Moment I try finding sleep

As I try so hard to hush the voices

The whispers of the ghosts

Inside my head

Trying so hard to put them back to sleep

Washing these haunts, The torments

With tears

Night after night I made a record

Little did I know

Every time I made a new painting

Of these words

I created more nightmares

I dug my own pit

So Tonight,

I come face to face with my tormentors

Tonight,

I breathe, and breathe deep to face my fears

Tonight,

I bring an end to these nightmares

Tonight,

I drench these dry painted pages of gasoline

Tonight,

I light this matchstick

Set these pages ablaze

Tonight,

I break free from these chains

Tonight,

I let my wounds heal

Tonight,

During midnight,

I shed these scars,

Scales that wrinkled my skin,

Tonight,

I rise

Tonight,

My new life commences

Tonight,

My new self is born

Tonight,

I am birthed
